In Kogi, Sanusi takes over as president of NULGE

Newly elected president of Kogi State’s National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) is Mohammed Sanusi.

He succeeds Tade Adeyemi, who has retired and is now serving as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Civil Service Matters.

In Thursday’s bye-election in Lokoja, the newly inaugurated NULGE president of Kogi State triumphed over his formidable opponent, Lasisi Aminu.

With 26 votes, he defeated Lasisi, who only managed five.

The Special Delegate Congress also elected Olajide Ronald Babalola as Welfare Officer 1 and Adejoh Alih as Welfare Officer.

Greetings and congratulations to the outgoing president of NULGE on a good tenure were extended by Gabriel Amari, chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state of Kogi.

The incoming president was urged by Onuh Edoka, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Labor Matters, to cultivate a fear of God and to prioritize the welfare of the people.

Tade Adeyemi, the outgoing president of NULGE in Kogi State, thanked members for their support in his farewell address and emphasized that the incoming administration must focus on ending the union’s litigation problems.
