According to Cristiano Ronaldo, the focus should be on the team rather than on getting another hat trick.
This season, the seasoned Portuguese forward has scored 52 goals in 52 appearances, including his 66th career hat trick.
At Saturday’s 6-0 Saudi Pro League victory over Al-Wehda at Al-Awwal Stadium, Ronaldo scored ten goals, bringing his career total to nine hundred.
Not only did the legendary Portuguese striker net his 66th hat trick of his career in this match, but he also scored his 50th goal of the season.
His focus, he stated, is on the group’s success rather than his own.
“My focus is on the team more than on getting a hat trick,” the 39-year-old stated following the match.
When asked about his near-900 goal career total after the match, Ronaldo said:
Numbers come easily to me, therefore I don’t attach any significance to them; I just say that.
