Rivers United mulls of leaving the NPFL

The Nigerian Premier Football League is facing a possible departure from Rivers United.

The Pride of Rivers informed the Nigeria Football Federation of this in a memo they issued.

The former NPFL champions felt the league treated them unfairly because of what they did.

One of Monday’s rescheduled games is Rivers United taking on Remo Stars.

The club from Port Harcourt was involved in the CAF Confederation Cup, which caused the games to be postponed.

In order for Stanley Eguma’s team to finish all of its unfinished fixtures, the NPFL has been put on hold for one week.
