Wike: I am not diverted from my duties due to the Rivers Crisis

Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, has stated that he was unconcerned about the political climate in his home state while serving as minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Minister made the announcement on Friday at the final inspection of several FCT projects set to be commissioned.

“I am fully engaged. You won’t witness this performance if I’m preoccupied. I am not distracted because I am engaged in my work.

Progress is being made in my role as Minister of the FCT. It completely escapes my mind.

Many concerned Nigerians are watching the showdown between the minister and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who has succeeded him.

This week, a large number of Fubara’s commissioners—appointed by the FCT minister—resigned from their posts.
