Kenneth Gbagi, a former minister of Nigeria, has passed away

Kenneth Gbagi, 62, passed away. He was a former governorship candidate and minister of education in Nigeria.

It was said that he passed away on Saturday.

His eldest son, Emuoboh Gbagi, verified this in a statement.

We are saddened to hear of the death of our dear father, grandpa, husband, and brother, but we are grateful to God for his provision.

“Orogun Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, 62, passed away on May 4, 2024, after a distinguished career as Minister of Education.

In the most recent election in Delta State, Gbagi ran for governor as a Social Democratic Party candidate.

Gbagi was unsuccessful in his bid for the governorship of Delta State in 2023, losing to PDP candidate Sheriff Oborevwori.
