The Funtua Inland Dry Port in Katsina State is set to be formally opened by President Bola Tinubu on May 9.

According to Adamu, notable guests and key stakeholders will be in attendance for the inauguration, which is set to begin at 11:00 am at the Funtua IDP Project Site in Katsina.

She stated, “The hinterland’s importers and exporters will benefit from the proximity of shipping and port services brought about by the establishment of an inland dry port.”

Decongestion of the seaports, new job opportunities, improved infrastructure, and substantial tax money for the government are just a few of the many benefits.

This aligns with the performance bond that Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, signed.

She made it clear that this project is part of NSC’s Goal to complete the Funtua Inland Dry Port Project by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
