Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s manager, has decided that Andriy Lunin will not be able to travel with the rest of the team to Borussia Dortmund for this weekend’s Champions League final.
The goalie reportedly got the virus earlier this week and will miss the trip to London, according to The Sun.
Due to Thibaut Courtois’s injury, Lunin has started the majority of the competition’s games.
He played a pivotal role in the quarterfinal shootout triumph over Manchester City.
For a record-extending fifteenth time, Madrid is aiming to capture the title.
In an effort to minimize the risk of him spreading his illness, Marca states that Lunin will land on either Friday or Saturday, while Ancelotti’s squad is scheduled to arrive in London on Thursday.
