The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, will now be arraigned on June 5 at Kano State High Court No. 7.
In addition to Ganduje, his son Abdullahi Umar, his wife Hafsat Umar, and five others are on trial.
Along with Abubaka Bawuro and Jibrilla Muhammad, the defendants in this case were Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textile Ltd., and Lasage General Enterprise Ltd.
According to NAN, the defendants’ plea for substituted service was originally set for a ruling on May 16 by Kano State High Court No. 5, which is presided over by Justice Usman Na’abba.
This occurred prior to the matter being transferred to High Court No. 7, which is presided over by Justice Amina Adamu, by State Chief Judge Justice Dije Aboki.
In addition to the original eight counts against Ganduje and his co-defendants, NAN was able to get a revised charge sheet that listed eleven counts.
Some of the charges go toward criminal conspiracy, while others touch on criminal breach of trust.
