Mats Hummels doubled Dortmund’s advantage in the 50th minute after a corner from Julian Brandt, ending PSG’s hopes of a comeback after they had fallen behind in the first leg.

Even though PSG hit the crossbar four times, Dortmund stayed strong, frustrating the hosts and preventing them from regaining the lead.

Wenger said that PSG’s lackluster performance was due to the fact that they relied too much on the individual genius of players like Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe.

Even though PSG as a whole were disappointed, he singled out Vitinha as the match’s shining star for the quality of the balls he consistently delivered.

It was only Vitinha in midfield who played well and created all the excellent passes tonight, the Frenchman said in an interview with beIN Sports.

Following then, the outcome was determined by the individual performances of Dembele and Mbappe.
