Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has told his players that they must win all three of their remaining Premier League games.

After Saturday’s 5-1 thrashing of Wolves, the champions maintained a one-point advantage over second-place Arsenal, who won 3-0 against Bournemouth.

The Gunners have two games remaining in the season, whereas City have three.

Also, Arsenal has a superior goal differential than Guardiola’s squad—six to be exact.

“The message is not about that, Arsenal also sent a message,” Guardiola said in response to Sky Sports’s question regarding whether or not their resounding victory against Wolves sent a message to their championship challenger.

When he (Arteta) is on the field, they easily come out on top.

In the FA Cup, there are two weeks remaining, while in the Premier League, there are just three.

“We need to secure nine points to prevent Arsenal from winning the title. With any luck, we’ll be back here in a few days to face West Ham and have another shot at winning the title.”
